Queen Of Shadows (book review)

Dear Reader,
This book took me 10 decades to finish. A lot happened, don't get me wrong, but it was boring for the first half. Until we saved Aedion. I don't know why I'm saying we, I did shit all but Alien, yeah she was great. Those dancers, and that whole master plan with the old king of assassins. Who is deaaaaaaad. Yaaaaaaay. That was a great scene that ************************************************************************deserved to die. That's kind of the only thing I remember from the first half. I do remember several bits with Manon where she seemed, dare I say it, more human? 0_o And the stillborn story :( that was really sad. Rowans come back (bowchikachikawowwow) can't wait for Empire of storms ohlalaaaaa. Dorians back waaaaayyyyyyyy. Okay, the king thing, he wasn't really evil but he was? I dunno, I'm confused. Now there is this Erwan guy who is like a king of demon land? But also Duke Perrington? Ooooh is it like a Bush situation (second Bush obviously). You know like in Vice? DP could be the brains behind it and the king could be the face! And as much as I was anti-Bush I'm also anti-Erawan demon king guy.

Moving on, Manon and Dorian- Witch and most powerful magician in the universe- I ship it.
Oh and Aedion and Evangeline's mum, what's her name? The shapeshifter, her and Aedion would be so great.

Another thing I loved about this book was Rowan and Aliens mind-reading. And Aliens dragon dress. It's so prrrrettty. That's the picture of it up there.

Well, as I said I can't remember much but yeah it was good!

Before the Coffee Gets Cold: Amazon.co.uk: Kawaguchi, Toshikazu, Trousselot, Geoffrey: 9781529029581: Books Dear Reader,  This review will not contain spoilers, so feel free to read if you haven't yet read the book, and with that let's begin:  These stories definitely build in intensity as you plough on, with subtly building engagement. The first two stories for me provided little interest, a point at which usually I would choose to DNF and call my loses. However, something about the writing, simple but almost translucent into the lives of these individuals, gave me the impression that it had more to give despite the seemingly stagnant story endings.  I think the best way to describe my growth to loving this book is recognising the beauty within its simplicity. As a predominantly YA reader myself, I couldn't help but expect this book to tie up in a perfect interloping knot at the end. My hope of this, I see now, may have blinded me to the crystal  humanity being bare...
