Carry On- book review
Dear reader, Today I will be reviewing another of Rainbow Rowell's books which I had the pleasure of reading just a few weeks ago. The book is a lot like Harry Potter in the way of characters and plot but it is equally really different and contrasts from anything I've ever read before.
Synopsis:
copied of Goodreads
Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who's ever been chosen. That's what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he's probably right. Half the time, Simon can't even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor's avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there's a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon's face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here — it's their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon's infuriating nemesis didn't even bother to show up.
What I liked:
Everything, literally everything. I flipping love this book so much that I want to re-read it a week later. Wayward son is pre-ordered and I'm dying with anticipation. If it gets pushed back, I'm going to break into harper collins and steal the Arc. Joking...
I love Simon and I looooove Baz. I hate Agatha, a lot. I also thought I was a lot like penny so I loved her a lot too. Just, omg this whole book is frikin' everything and I think you should read it. Right now. Please put down whatever book your reading and head to Barnes and Noble or Waterstones where ever you are and buy this book, #notspons. Because of this book, I will forever be haunted with Simon and Baz edits on my Instagram feed.
What I remotely a tiny bit did not enjoy:
