Aristotle and Dante discover the universe- book review

Dear reader,
today I will be reviewing Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe.

Plot summary:

In this book, we follow Aristotle, whose brother is in prison, on his journey through youth. Ari doesn't really have any real friends and is not close to his older sisters because of the age gap between them. When he meets Dante, an only child with two very loving parents, they form a special friendship. They are both from Mexican families and are trying to avoid falling into their countries stereotype of gangs and crime.
(THIS BOOK IS REALLY HARD TO EXPLAIN!)

What I liked:
This book reminded me about one of my favorite books, the perks of being a wallflower, but set in an earlier time. I liked this aspect of it because, I loved the perks of being a wallflower and it almost felt like reading the sequel. I liked reading the characters story and learning about their backgrounds, it was really great to read how they developed and helped each other grow up. This book was a really quick read. I finished it in about 2 sittings, the writing flowed very easily.

What I thought could be improved:
I thought the ending happened very rapidly, and the last sentence felt like your copy was missing a bit. It was a really impactful book to read and I don't think that showed at the very end. In other words, I want a sequel: Aristotle and Dante explore the secrets of the universe.
