Helllllllo I am back!



Dear Reader, 
did ya miss me?
*crickets*
Well, I missed you a lot and I am very happy to be back :).

So this is basically just gonna be a bit of an update and from now on I'm gonna be doing updates and wrap-ups instead.
So since I've been gone I've read a fewww books-
-Gemina (omg 5 stars 100%)
-All these beautiful strangers(hmm 3 stars)
-Crooked kingdom (finally but also I want to cry -20 stars)
-A Curse so dark and lonely ( surprisingly so good! I actually really enjoyed it)

And I am currently reading 2 books-I know right-totally crazy. So I'm reading my life next door which I'm 4 pages into and the selection which I'm a chapter into. I'm listening to the selection on audiobook and reading My life next door in a physical copy.

So another thing I just wanted to announce is my Instagram, So I have always been really clear that I didn't want to link any social media to this blog because it's always been a very anonymous, personal thing. But ever since it started to get a little attention I have been thinking about making a book account and actually linking it to the blog. And I finally caved lol. On this account, you'll find loads of bookish pics and chats- loads of updates and lots of aesthetically pleasing bits and bobs.
So, ladies and Gents, the page is up and it is called

Brinkalds_books

which is me taking the piss out of my spelling dyslexia- I got my Bs and Ds the wrong way round when I was younger- and still do! And my second name is Drinkald (anyway you get it)
But yeah, other than that I hope everyone is keeping safe and NOT going to public libraries. Get that kindle out gurl! Anyway- I'm gonna get to reading

Before the Coffee Gets Cold: Amazon.co.uk: Kawaguchi, Toshikazu, Trousselot, Geoffrey: 9781529029581: Books Dear Reader,  This review will not contain spoilers, so feel free to read if you haven't yet read the book, and with that let's begin:  These stories definitely build in intensity as you plough on, with subtly building engagement. The first two stories for me provided little interest, a point at which usually I would choose to DNF and call my loses. However, something about the writing, simple but almost translucent into the lives of these individuals, gave me the impression that it had more to give despite the seemingly stagnant story endings.  I think the best way to describe my growth to loving this book is recognising the beauty within its simplicity. As a predominantly YA reader myself, I couldn't help but expect this book to tie up in a perfect interloping knot at the end. My hope of this, I see now, may have blinded me to the crystal  humanity being bare...
