The Last Month summed up in books.

Dear Reader,

Yah, it’s been about a month. Come on guys you should know by now I’m flakey as an over baked  croissant. I’m a busy girl. Guess what I ddddiiiiddd. Only went and started the school newspaper. Yep, that’s right. You are reading exclusive content written by editr-in-chief of The Rose. I have also developed a coffee addiction and well, in summary, couldn’t be doing any better.

I’m slowly but surely getting back into reading, taking my time and enjoying it all the more.

I read the Bridges of Maddison County. And fell in love with it completely. It is one of the most tiny heartwarming books I have ever read, with an odd, unfamiliar sense of pure humanity to it. I think that is truly the only way to describe it. For such a short read it took me to many places and really made me swoon. I mostly enjoyed the last part of the book. It felt like reading the notebook but less cheap and without most of the tears. Note most, it still made me extremely soppy. Crafted of a block of Nostalgia and full of lives real trails and mystery. I am just as surprised as you are that I enjoyed it as much as I did. Highly recommend as a Segway into deeper romance.

I’ve also been reading some cult classic poetry, to inspire some of my own writing. Amanda Lovelace’s book (The Princess saves herself in this one) is somewhat over-hyped if you where wondering. Coffee-table-tale at most, will not make you reconsider life-except the seven pounds you spent on it. I’m hoping her second book is better as I ordered is without reading the first, I should really stop doing that.

Although I failed to really understand the hype surrounding that book, I was not disappointed at all by she must be mad by Charly Cox -which is fabulous. A brilliant anthology that thanks to me, has been religiously studied and passed around by my friendship group. Leaving a very empowered and angry group of women in its trail.

Lastly I read possibly the cutest most adorable book in the world. The Boy, The Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy. That inspired more lyrics of of me than all the poetry books I’ve ever read combined. Read it, it’s adorable.

I’ve just started the new fairy loot book that I can already tell I’ll love.

No spoilers though my sweets,

Until next time,

Issy
