OWLs update (yes i am still trying to do that)

Dear Reader,
Happy Easter! Or whatever you're celebrating this bank holiday!

Hey, I hope you're doing well and keeping busy :)
I certainly am. I've got so bored I started to draw lol, that was disastrous. So OWLs! What your all here for...

How am I doing? Considering I started a week later and we're already on the 13th (how crazy is that)
, I'm doing pretty well. I finished the selection on the 8th of April. And then I started the cruel prince on the ninth and finished it yesterday so that was the 12th. And now I'm 22 pages into my third book, City of Ashes. I know right? Pretty impressive. I'm doing this. Obviously, I'm still doing chores and other things around the house and trying to keep talking to my family, friends and my amazing boyfriend but any chance I get I'm really trying to read.

Right now I'm on my second week of Easter break and then I'm back to school (shoot me) which means this is prime time to read before I go back. I'm gonna try and finish city of ashes in the next 2 days- hopefully by the 15th- really tryna stick to that 125 pages or more a day. Because that will keep me on track but obviously easier said than done.

I was really hesitant to start city of ashes because although City of bones was good it was so slow and honestly so boring for the first half. But I have heard so much and this series and I'm not giving up on it (I do have all the books anyway so I really can't give up on it now haha). As well as that I know these books are the kind where the deeper your into them the easier it is to read on. So on that note, I'm gonna do a 24-hour readathon tomorrow. I'm gonna be reading the physical copy of City of ashes and listening to a court of thorns and roses on audiobook. So today I'm gonna get well-rested and get as far into a city of ashes as I can before I kick off a readathon tomorrow :) I'm really excited for this. I know books roast has been doing her own readathons but I haven't been able to join so I'm doing my own today. If you want to join 100% be my guest and DM me on Instagram @brinkalds_books and tell me your TBR, I'm very curious.

Besides this, I am honestly so excited for April to be over so I can (hopefully if I can buy them) Dive into the rest of the selection series and the rest of the cruel prince books- because I loved the first one so much. It was so beautifully written and the characters and plot were so so gorgeously crafted to literal literary perfection. And as for the selection well, she left it on such a cliff hanger!! I thought I'd know who won by the end of the first book but nono haha. None the less, I loved the first one so much that it's no problem for me to read two more (and maybe the rest of the series who knows).

I hope you are all dealing well and are healthy,
Until next time,
Love,
Issy
