OWLs Prep (Lol I am late again)
Dear Reader,
Today is supposedly the end of week one of the magic readathon hosted by Book Roast from the 1st to the 30th of April. However, I haven't even technically started:/ lol. But not to worry. I've spent the day prepping and I am ready! Seriously I am so prepped for this thing, minus being a week late to it haha. SO the link to the website with a timeline of past years and info and all the files and things you need if you want to start a week late too!

Come on we're all in this together man. So I have chosen to be a spell maker because I thought the description was really cool. So for that, I had to pick books for Arithmancy, Astronomy, History of Magic, Charms, Divination, Ancient runes and transfiguration. Yes, that's right. I picked the hardest one even though I'm starting a week late because screw the system! Haha, kidding I'm 1000% gonna fail this.
So going down my Tbr I'll say why I picked them. So for Arithmancy, the prompt was read something outside your fav genre. For this, I wasn't too sure what my fav is- I do like to pick up anything I have a general interest in. But- I do tend to have faries in books. Don't know why. Just doesn't and has never really appealed. However, I have the first 2 books of the cruel prince and everyone says it's good so I just said screw it. Onto the pile it went. So next was Astronomy, for this I had to read a book when It's dark outside. This prompt was a little annoying cause I'm not a huge lover of reading 2 books at once. But I ended up going for The great blue yonder by Alex Shearer which I picked up in a charity shop and its the shortest one with only 200 pages so I thought it would be a good choice for a 'bedtime read'. Next was History of magic and the prompt was a book featuring a witch so of cooooooourse I Serpent and Dove- which I'm very excited for. But it's so big and It's gonna be a stretch to follow my deadlines with. After it Charms which was a book with a white cover. I choose Empire of storms because I'm dumb. That thing is like 700 pages. It would normally take me a month to do that alone! But dream big I guess. Next was Transfiguration prompt: a series that involves shapeshifting. I remember someone was a mouse in A city of Ashes so I choose that- even though I remember literally nothing form city of bones. Next was ancient runes which I just decided to finish the selection cause I didn't have any books I hadn't read that followed the prompt. Lastly, I did Divination where I had to pick a random book off my tbr with a random number generator (in this case Siri) and got a court of thrones and roses- which was really lucky cause I wanted something like that anyway. So I finished picking them and added up all the page numbers and turns out to get that done I have to read exactly 125 pages a day. 125. Wish me luck!
