Happy April!! (My life next door mini review; what i'm reading, readathons and some ideas for you guys)

Dear reader,
Happy April! I know it isn't the happiest of Aprils but we readers have to focus on the good stuff- like getting to read a LOT of books read and not being blamed for spending all our days with noses in good books!
Right now I am listening to the new blossoms album and drinking hot chocolate with tones of mini marshmallows and enough cream to give me several headaches. Honestly just living my absolute best life except I miss my mates and my boyfriend so much :( But to know I'm helping our amazing NHS by STAYING THE HELL INDOORS is all that matters. Seriously though guys, don't be that guy. I know it's shit but going out is just not the answer and makes you part of the problem when all you have to do is stay in to be part of the solution! It's not that hard. Open a window if your that desperate for fresh air. But anyway, back to books. So last time I wrote I was reading My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick and I actually ended up really liking it! I loved the Garret family. Are you ready? I'm about to really impress you...
Patsy,
Joel,
Harry,
George,
Alice,
Jace,
Duff,
Andy.

I swear I didn't look that up! Low key very impressed with myself right now. George was the Cutest!! I really enjoyed reading it but the whole time I just thought that Sams Mum was a bit of an idiot if she was staying with Clay. I don't know I just really hated Clay and disliked her mum for letting Clay affect her kid's relationship with her. I also just thought she was snobby and obviously had OCD. But yeah overall I liked the book I'd probably give it like 3.8 stars? It wasn't my favourite for sure. I was also quite unsatisfied with nan and Sam not getting closure. I never really liked Nan but it would have been nice if the book didn't end with Nan not being put in her place at all. But yeah so I finished that yesterdayyy?? I think yesterday and now I'm reading the selection by Keira Cass which I'm loving! After this, I think I'm gonna read the last book in the lluminae files. SO EXCITED. And who knows maybe I'll pick up the second book in the mortal instruments? I need to read those at some point. Who knows I might even host my own read-along for something?? Would any of you guys be interested in that? Let me know! So speaking of read-alongs and that fun stuff the O-W-Ls has started and I haven't actually done it yet! But I have every intention to. I also want to do the Photography challenge that she's hosting too, which officially starts today. You can see mine on my Instagram @brinkalds_books if you want. But yeah I need to print out that owls booklet really soon! So what are you guys reading? I'm very curious. A book I'm seeing around a lot currently is the wicked fox? I think that's what it's called anyway.
Thanks for Reading,
Love Issy
