Me being excited about Wayward son for 360 words straight, seriously I don't know why you read this crap.



Dear reader,

Currently in a plane. My ears hurt and I feel sick on too many skittles. So just a random update, I’m currently reading Six of Crows (finally, I know) and its amazing! Review coming soon haha. So I’m coming back from a 3 week holiday where I read a shit tone of books. I read iluminae (*****) but I’m not gonna write a review because I can’t be asked. I also read after you, we were liars (again), and some other stuff I can’t remember. I was hoping to have read queen of shadows by now but I didn’t get time. 3 weeks was not enough apparently. By the time this goes up, it will probably be September which means only a month to wayward son bitcheeeeeeeeees! Whoop Whoop, You know I pre-ordered that shit. A special edition too. Goodbye money, hello happiness. So excited for more of Baz and Simon.

I’m planning on reading the rest of TMI before Christmas which I started on holiday (city of bones review up btw) but that probably won’t happen cause I’ll just be re-reading wayward son for the billionth time. Omg I’m actually so excited!

Speaking of re-reads, I really wanna read again, but better again. I loved that book so so much (review up). Also, did I tell you I sent the link to Christine and she actually READ IT?! I’m pretty sure that was one of the happiest days of my existence. She said she laughed at my heathers reference, I can’t even explain the emotion of pure joy that was going through me then haha.

I’m still thinking of writing a review for looking for Alaska but I don’t know?!? I know you want it but I have to much to say it would be sooooo long.  Also, I read it like 6 weeks ago so I’d have to re-read it and that’s long. We shall see, I guess.

In more exciting news, I might be getting that vintage arctic monkeys poster I love soon! All I need is a really big frame annnnd sixty quid. Yeah, maybe not that soon haha.

Just for December by Laura Jane Williams: review Dear reader,  To Start with, thank you so much for the lovely girls at Avon Harper Collins for gifting me this proof around the holidays! This book was absolutely delightful, and extremely well timed. I cracked open this book on the same day the skies decided to comply with Michael Bublé and while it might not be a white Christmas, as the rain seems to have washed it away now, it made to be pretty idyllic conditions to read this book. I went into this book feeling festive and ready for something to give me all the fuzzy Christmas feelings, which it provided along with a lot more feelings than I predicted. Williams manages to craft cliches and worn-out tropes to make them seem like nothing of the sort and in fact- revive them. Enemies to lovers has not been done so humanly in a very long time, and all you have to do to see that statement holds meaning is scroll through my other reviews and see that the enemies to lover’s trope...

Before the Coffee Gets Cold: Amazon.co.uk: Kawaguchi, Toshikazu, Trousselot, Geoffrey: 9781529029581: Books Dear Reader,  This review will not contain spoilers, so feel free to read if you haven't yet read the book, and with that let's begin:  These stories definitely build in intensity as you plough on, with subtly building engagement. The first two stories for me provided little interest, a point at which usually I would choose to DNF and call my loses. However, something about the writing, simple but almost translucent into the lives of these individuals, gave me the impression that it had more to give despite the seemingly stagnant story endings.  I think the best way to describe my growth to loving this book is recognising the beauty within its simplicity. As a predominantly YA reader myself, I couldn't help but expect this book to tie up in a perfect interloping knot at the end. My hope of this, I see now, may have blinded me to the crystal  humanity being bare...
