Leah on the off-beat > worth the read?
Dear reader,
today I will be writing about the sequel to Simon vs the Homo sapiens agenda: Leah on the off-beat.
I read this book about a year ago and I only thought of it because I watched love, Simon last night.
I believe this book has been a bit discarded, because of the more popular book, love Simon. I wanted to share my view on the book, as I do, and tell you all whether it's worth a read...
When I first brought the book I was excited to read it because I had just finished reading the upside of unrequited love and love simon. I was not let down, the book was very good and I enjoyed it thoroughly!
The book is from the perspective of Leah, best friend of Simon. It is about how she finds she is in fact, Gay.
Leah is in love with one of her group of friends and feels as though it would ruin their friendship if she said, or did anything. As well as this, she doesn't know whether the girl she's in love with is open to girls.
The book is amazing because like love Simon, looks into finding yourself but from a girls perspective. As the book shows, it is very hard and very complicated. I think you should definitely give it a go if you liked the first book. I also recommend reading the other book, up-side of unrequited because, without giving too much away, the 3 books all end up linking together.
When watching the film last night, I saw how Leah was made out to be and I thought she was very well presented, however, the book is always better than the film!
With love,
Girl with thoughts
